Digital catalog makes browsing and buying a breeze
Peruvian Connection was looking for a way to bridge the gap between their printed catalog and their online store, allowing customers to browse a digital version of their catalog, zoom on products and easily purchase.
I developed a configurable Flash based e-catalog, and integrated this into their existing Java based site allowing links between product detail pages and product pages within the catalog. Peruvian is able to manage, produce and publish new catalogs themselves without requiring programming knowledge.
The e-catalog includes hot-spot mouseovers for individual products on each page as well as their line-item counterparts. Realistic page-turning interaction with sounds is also part of the experience and catalog pages can be zoomed in for a closer look. Integrated paging and full-spread thumbnails round out the functionality of this project.
I developed this application during my time as VP of Technology for estrategyfirst.
